Talking to Economic Times, TRAI Secretary V Raghunandan said that nowadays cyber criminals are sending wrong messages to people in the name of telecom companies and TRAI, and are defrauding them. He further said that, we want to send a warning message to all the users to spread awareness on a large scale and advise the public.

In fact, for the last several years, thousands of cyber criminals across the country scare or lure people by threatening to install towers of telecom companies, provide No Objection Certificate or connection closure, and then defraud money by asking for things like mobile number verification or OTP. . These fraud people work to cheat money in many different ways.

Online fraud will be controlled

Such incidents are increasing day by day, hence TRAI has asked all the companies to issue warnings to the users. There will be a special message in this warning, in which it will be written that TRAI never sends any call or message to the customers to verify the mobile number, disconnect the number or report illegal activities.

Be cautious of such calls and messages coming in the name of TRAI. It is important to consider before taking any action on calls or messages making claims in the name of TRAI.
